ATLANTA, Ga. - Sophomore goalkeeper
Olivia Rosario was named today as the Collegiate Conference of the South Defensive Player of the Week. During the Scotties' 1-1 week last week, Rosario registered 19 saves over two matches, including in the Agnes Scott win over Wesleyan College, 2-1.
Nationally, Rosario currently ranks #2 in all of NCAA Division III with 177 saves on the season. She is also 5th in saves per game at 13.62 per contest. In the CCS, she impressively has the second-best save percentage amongst all goalkeepers, with a .790 save percentage. She has made 90 saves more than her nearest individual competitor in the CCS.
ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
