PED-101-A | Personal Health and Fitness

This course is classroom based, perfect for students interested in understanding how personal health and fitness impact their daily lives. Throughout the semester, students will explore essential topics such as exercise science, nutrition, stress management, and overall wellness. With a focus on developing individualized fitness plans, students will assess their own health and programs that they will implement and maintain. This class offers a great opportunity to build lifelong healthy habits and take control of personal well-being.
PED-120-A | Archery/Badminton
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday | 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM
This exciting course provides students with the opportunity to develop fundamental skills in archery and badminton, two precision-based sports that require focus, patience, and control. Students will learn the essential techniques, strategies, and rules of both sports while improving their hand-eye coordination, concentration, and strategic thinking. By the end of the course, students will have a firm grasp of offensive and defensive tactics, making them well-rounded participants in these dynamic activities.

Jazzercise is the iconic dance fitness program that combines high-energy dance cardio with strength training, Pilates, hip-hop, yoga, and kickboxing, making it the most exhilarating and effective way to stay fit. As the original dance party workout, we’ve been unleashing people’s best selves since 1969. Jazzercise is located at 309 E College Ave Ste B, at the intersection of South Candler Street.
PED-130-A | Beginning Swimming
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday | 10:00 - 11:15 AM
Designed for novice swimmers or non-swimmers, this course focuses on the fundamentals of swimming, including breathing techniques, treading water, and various movements. Students will receive instruction in four keystrokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke. In addition to developing confidence in the water, participants will also gain essential water safety skills and CPR certification, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle emergency situations. This course is ideal for anyone looking to build confidence in the water while learning life-saving skills.
