ASC Campus Recreation

Your gateway to fitness, fun, and adventure at Agnes Scott College

The Campus Recreation program at Agnes Scott College offers a wide range of activities designed to enhance fitness, foster friendly competition, and provide enjoyable experiences both on and off campus. Visit us in the Woodruff Athletics Center, room 213.

Play

Campus Recreation hosts annual dodgeball and kickball tournaments, as well as a week-long Humans vs. Zombies event in October—where you can play or help organize the event. It’s a campus-wide celebration open to faculty, staff, and students. We also offer racquet sports such as badminton, pickleball, and tennis.

Fitness

In addition to individual workouts in the Alston Undergraduate workout space (room 114), we offer a variety of weekly fitness classes including yoga, Zumba, fitness dance, tai chi, swimming, biking, walking, and water aerobics. Each semester, our Scottie Fit challenge motivates students with fun incentives for healthy living.

Our dedicated staff provide clinics in archery, tennis, badminton, disc golf, golf, and swimming. These clinics run throughout the semester and welcome both students and guests from other colleges—(post-COVID).

Campus Rec
The Great Outdoors

Enjoy outdoor adventures such as horseback riding, ice skating, river tubing, hiking, kayaking, and dragon boat races. Transportation is provided. For more details, please email recreation@agnesscott.edu.

Explore Atlanta

Get out and experience Atlanta! Past events include Atlanta United Soccer, Atlanta Dream Basketball, Atlanta Hawks Basketball, Georgia Tech Football, Sky Zone, iFly, bowling, and arcades.

Sports Clubs

Students can form sports clubs to hone their skills in specialized sports like lacrosse, soccer, social dancing, volleyball, swimming, cheer, and archery.

Equipment Check-Out

We offer a free recreational equipment checkout program to all students. Reserve bicycles, hammocks, Frisbees, badminton sets, jump ropes, hula-hoops, sports balls, yoga mats, card games, and video games with your ASC ID at the McCain Library. Additional items like tennis rackets and pool supplies are available from the Woodruff Athletics building.

Fitness for Everybody

In partnership with SNAP Fitness, students have access to a full fitness center equipped with cardio and weight machines, as well as additional campus equipment and a dedicated fitness room in the Alston Campus Center.

*Note: SNAP Fitness is available during peak hours (Monday - Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Your ASC ID becomes active 24 hours after signing the waiver. Sign the waiver here.
