Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. - Agnes Scott fell in the final game of the Meredith Classic, falling to the host team by a score of 4-0. The Avenging Angels (2-1) dominated the first half of play, scoring all four of their goals in that frame, to down the Scotties (1-2), who were outshot the Angels, 6-4, in the scoreless second half.
In the first half, Meredith jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on goals from Megan Luke and Cassie Padilla, in the 4th and 6th minutes, respectively. From there, the Scotties would try to fight from behind, with 5 of their 8 shots being on target in the contest, but each was stopped by Meredith's goalkeeper.
Scottie players Camila Hernandez, Caitlynn Croft, and Alissa Wheeler were all named to the Meredith Classic All-Tournament Team, after each scored goals in the Scotties' 11-0 rout of Hollins College on the first day of the tournament.
The Scotties will return to action on Friday, September 11, when they travel to Huntingdon College for a 4:00 p.m. CST contest.
