DECATUR, Ga. – Agnes Scott College Department of Athletics announces the second induction class of its Athletics Hall of Fame today.
Agnes Scott Athletics has a history in sports that dates back to 1897. For the second time, the legacy of Agnes Scott Athletics will be forever enshrined November 11-12, 2022 in the Agnes Scott Athletics Hall of Fame. We extend our congratulations to the second class of 2022.
The enshrinement activities include the induction ceremony and dinner on Friday, November 11. The Hall of Fame inductee will be presented during halftime of the 2022 Agnes Scott Tip-off Classic on Saturday, November 12.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2022 inductees include:
Tennis Inductee:

Rachel Storz Parkman (class of 2013) played tennis for ASC from 2009-2013. Storz honors include GSAC Freshman of the Year (2010) and 4X GSAC Player of the Year. Rachel has recorded a 54-13 Career Singles Record with only two conference losses in four seasons. Storz Parkman was the Agnes Scott College Rookie of the Year in 2010 and the Agnes Scott College Sportswoman of the from 2011-13.
Volleyball Inductee:

Catherine Geerlings served as head coach of multiple conference award-winning athletes. Geerlings was the recipient of the GSAC Coach of the Year (2016-2017) Award. Catherine coached the 2013 volleyball team who won the GSAC Conference Championship. The only Conference championship the volleyball program has ever won in school history.
Administrator Inductee:

Gue' Hudson (class of 1968) is Dean of Students Emerita. In 34 years of service, Gue' Hudson, Dean of Students Emerita and VP of Student Life made sports a primary part of the student experience at Agnes Scott. She navigated athletics' membership in the NAIA and NCAA which established a competitive intercollegiate athletic program that earned multiple conference championships and NCAA berths.
Legacy Inductee:

Bernie Todd Smith (class of 1971) serves as the chair of the Athletic Advisory Board. The Athletic Advisory Board was formed to support the growth and strategic priorities of the intercollegiate athletic program. Bernie Todd Smith has chaired the advisory board since its inception and has championed many efforts to cultivate resources for the enhancement of athletics including a facilities fund, the golf classic, and the athletics hall of fame.
The 2012 Soccer Team

The 2012 Soccer team is the first and only Agnes Scott soccer team to win a conference championship. The team was coached by Joe Bergin and we are approaching the 10-year anniversary of that historic accomplishment.

Trailblazer Inductee:
Alice Davidson (class of 1966) played field hockey, basketball, volleyball and tennis before formal intercollegiate competition was established. During the college's intramural tournaments Davidson was the singles champion and doubles champion with partner Judy Ahrano and recognized by her peers in the class of 1968 as the best athlete at the college.
