Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. - The Agnes Scott basketball team returned to the hardwood this evening against a familiar opponent in Emory University, located a mere five miles from Agnes Scott. The Scotties (1-3) kept things interesting in the first quarter as they managed a 17-17 tie after ten minutes of play, but Emory (6-1) pulled away from the Scotties and went on to win, 77-45.
Garis Grant led all players with 14 points and 12 rebounds, the first-year's fourth double-double in as many games. Anna Weimerskirch and Laniqua Collins each chipped in with 8 points, and Kamiyla Lane logged a season-high of 7 points off the bench for the Scotties. Emory was led by Allison Chernow, who had 13 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double of her own.
The Scotties will take some time off for finals before returning to the court to travel to Truett-McConnell on December 13.
