MARYVILLE, Tenn.—Shay Sweat's (Lawrenceville, Ga.) 12 points and three steals were not enough as Maryville College managed to stay atop of the USA South West Division with a comfortable win over the visiting Scotties. Courtney Carruthers capped off an efficient weekend by leading all scorers with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

Agnes Scott (0-8) will have a quick turnaround and head to Brevard College on Tuesday for a makeup of an earlier postponement.

The Scotties improved their point total from Friday night after getting off to a good start, trailing by only nine after a quarter. But Maryville's offense was too much to keep up with from there as the Scotties were unable to score more than eight points in any of the remaining three quarters.
