Box Score LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.—A high-powered offense carried host Covenant College to a convincing victory over Agnes Scott on Thursday night at the Barnes PE Center.
Six different Scots put together double-figures nights in the scoring section of the stat sheet with Madison Blevins leading the way with 19 points and a game-high nine steals. Cosette Kirsch (17 points) and Naomi Crumley (16 points) also had standout nights for the home side.
Shay Sweat (Lawrenceville, Ga.) was the leading scorer for Agnes Scott for the six consecutive game but finished just a point of the 10-point mark. Musumaulai Galoia (Hephzibah, Ga.) totaled eight rebounds for the Scotties, which was also a game-high for either squad.
Ashley Mabrey (Mt. Dora, Fla.) scored a career-high five points, while first-year Fabiola Garcia (La Joya, Texas) knocked in her first career basket in the fourth quarter.
The Scotties had their best quarter in the final stanza, scoring 12 points.
Agnes Scott (0-10) and Covenant (4-13) will meet again on Saturday afternoon to close out the season series.
