Box Score CONWAY, S.C.—Host Coastal Carolina University controlled the tempo from the opening tip, besting Agnes Scott in the second game of the 2021 season. The Scotties were led by First-year Taylor Brooks (McDonough, Ga.) with eight points, including a 3-for-4 performance from the three point line.
Agnes Scott improved with each passing quarter after shaking out the second-game jitters. Erika McLeod (Snellville, Ga.) broke up a 26-point run for Coastal Carolina with a pair of calmly made free throws. McLeod finished the game with four points and three boards.
YaMea Elliot-Allen (Alpharetta, Ga.) scored four points for the Scotties.
Coastal Carolina had all 13 players make at least one shot from the field. Jordyn Newsome led all scorers with 20 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the floor. Angie Juste-Jean and Janeen Camp both contributed 18 points each respectively for the home side.
Agnes Scott College will return home to host its Tip-off Classic on November 12-13. The Scotties will welcome Hollins and Belhaven to campus. ASC will face Hollins University on Friday, November 12th at 8:00 p.m.
