MARYVILLE, Tenn.—Agnes Scott women's basketball closed out its 2019-20 season with a 65-29 loss to Maryville College on Saturday afternoon. The Scotties finish the season 1-24 overall and 1-15 in USA South play.

Not much went Agnes' way from the jump as the Scots were able to jump out to a 36-17 halftime lead. Maryville extended it out to 55-19 entering the final quarter after holding the Scotties to only two points in the entire third quarter before closing out the visitors in the fourth.

Agnes Scott sophomore Emma Olson (Austin, Texas) led the Scotties with 11 points. Senior Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) had a quiet night on the offensive night in her final collegiate game, but the forward was still active on the glass with nine boards and two blocks. Classmates Kamiyla Lane (Atlanta, Ga.) chipped in eight points, while Annie Weimerskirch (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) finished third on the team with six points.

Maryville was led by Shelby Hix with 20 points, including a 4-of-7 shooting night from behind the arch.

The Scots (18-7, 11-5) earned the three seed in the West Division and will host Covenant College in the first round of the 2020 USA South Conference Tournament on Wednesday.
