Box Score DEMOREST, Ga.—For the second time in two weeks, Piedmont women's basketball reached 73 points against Agnes Scott College as the Lions were able to sweep the season series with the Scotties, 73-42. Agnes Scott first-year Addison Harrison (Ellenwood, Ga.) scored a career-high 11 points in the loss.
The Lions improve to 9-3 in USA South Conference play, while Agnes Scott dips to 0-11.
Piedmont was able to hold the Agnes Scott offense at bay for most of the first half, while putting together long runs on the other end. The host team led 42-18 at the break and never looked back on their way to a 31-point victory.
The Scotties played more composed in the second half, but could never really get the offense firing on all cylinders until it was too late. Emma Olson (Austin, Texas) scored in double-figures for the 11th time this season with 10 points. Shay Sweat (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) each added nine points.
Agnes Scott returns home on Saturday for a conference tilt with Maryville College at 2 p.m. The Scotties will honor seniors Kamiyla Lane (Atlanta, Ga.), Annie Weimerskirch (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and Grant before the game.
