DEMOREST, Ga. - Agnes Scott softball fell twice on the road today, dropping 7-1 and 8-0 decisions to Piedmont (13-9, 6-2 USA South) today in blustery conditions. With the loss, the Scotties (0-12, 0-6 USA South) are still searching for their first win of the season.

Tatiana Santiago had a solid day for the Scotties at the plate, as she had the only RBI on the day, when she singled home Haley Keesler in the top of the 7th in Game 1 to spoil the shutout by the Lions. In Game 2, she had a double for the only extra-base hit of the day for the visitors.

Nicole Gilkeson was the starter in both games on the mound, allowing 5 earned runs in Game 1 through 5 innings, and went 3 innings in Game 2, allowing only one earned run.

The Scotties will return to action on Thursday, as they continue their road swing with two more USA South games against Salem College.
