Box Score DECATUR, Ga. - Agnes Scott suffered their second defeat of the season at home on Tuesday, falling to Millsaps College of the SAA, 64-40. Garis Grant led the Scotties (1-2) with 13 points and 10 rebounds, giving the First-Year forward her third double-double in as many games, but a balanced scoring attack from their opponents kept the Scotties from staging a comeback after falling behind early against the Majors (2-2).
In the first half of play, neither team could get firing offensively, as the Scotties managed only one field goal, and the Majors didn't score until 4 minutes into the contest. The Majors did manage to pull out to a 12-5 lead after one quarter, behind 8 points from Kala-Jewel Freeman. They would extend their lead to 31-13 heading into the half, before Caroline Guilbeau went 3-for-3 from 3-point range to lead the Majors to 25 points in the third quarter, as they cruised to a 31-point lead heading into the final stanza.
The Scotties, who have played their first three games at home, will hit the road on December 5 for their first road contest, as they head across town to Emory University for a 6:00 pm tipoff.
