The Agnes Scott lacrosse team lost to Piedmont College this afternoon at home, 20-1.

The Lions led from the whistle, racking up nine points before Agnes Scott scored. Sophomore Monique Novoa scored the Scotties' lone goal, her third this season. Senior Caroline Recio got the assist, her second for the year.

Sophomore Ashley Holder played 60 minutes in goal and recorded five saves. Piedmont led in draw controls 16-6 and in ground balls 20-12. The Scotties fall to 0-2 with the loss while Piedmont improves to 3-1. 

Agnes Scott will look to rebound this weekend as they host back-to-back games against Greensboro on Saturday at 1 p.m. and against Ferrum at noon on Sunday.
