The Agnes Scott basketball team fell to the Scots of Covenant College today, 71-58. 

Junior Shavonne Orr led the Scotties with 27 points and two steals.  Senior Morgan Cooper added 16 points, three steals and eight rebounds.  First-year Care Bacon contributed eight points, five assists and six rebounds. 

Covenant outshot Agnes Scott 30-56 (53.6%) to 23-57 (40.4%) and led 41-24 in rebounds. The Scotties shot 85% (6-7) from the free throw line and 54% (6-11) from the 3-point arc, both are their highest percentages this season. 

Agnes Scott will play at Hiwasse on Wednesday and will return home next Saturday for their final home game of the year against Wesleyan College at 2 p.m.  The team will also celebrate their two senior players, Morgan Cooper and Janell McKinney on Saturday.
