The Agnes Scott lacrosse team came close to avenging last years 14-10 loss to LaGrange College this evening but came up one point short, losing 14-13 in the final seconds.  The Scotties' leading scorer was junior Caroline Recio with six goals. Senior Alicia Logan added three, junior Lexi Pulice-Farrow had two and Clara Kienzle and Emaline Laney each scored one.

In the first half, the Panthers were leading 9-5 but a three goal run brought the Scotties into halftime only down by one, 9-8. Logan scored first in the second half to tie the game 9-9.  The two teams tied three more times in the second half and remained tied at 13-13 until LaGrange's Kelsey Griffin scored the game winning goal with four seconds remaining.

First-year goalkeeper played 60 minutes in goal and recorded 10 saves.

Recio is the second leading scorer this season with a total of 16 goals. Logan is the leading scorer with 19.

The Scotties will return to action on Sunday at noon in a conference match-up against NC Wesleyan.
