The Agnes Scott College basketball team lost to Sewanee this evening at home, 46-35.

It was a slow start for Agnes Scott as Sewanee ran the score up to 10-2 in the first six minutes.  The Scotties climbed back from the deficit to tie the game 14-14 going into half-time. In the second half, Sewanee slowly carved out a lead to win by an 11 point margin.

Sophomore transfer Courtney Kelson led the Scotties with 14 points. She also had two steals, one assist and three rebounds. Sophomore Kelcie Evans contributed three steals and eight rebounds. Rounding out the starters, junior Shavonne Orr added five points, six rebounds and two assits. From the bench, senior Janell McKinney was credited with four assists and six rebounds. 

Agnes Scott gets a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday before traveling to Birmingham Southern on December 3. The Scotties will return to action at home on Thursday December 5 as they face LaGrange College at 6 p.m.
