The Agnes Scott lacrosse team lost to Methodist University in a close game today at Gellerstedt Field.  Carolyn Mahoney scored four goals for the Scotties, Alicia Logan, Sumayyah Cooper and Farrah Waleed scored two apiece and Kaitlyn McCune and Clara Kienzle each scored one. Anna Wyatt had two assists.

Agnes Scott trailed by two points at half-time, 7-9.  In the second half, Methodist gained a six point lead with just under 14 minutes remaining.  Agnes Scott was able to close that gap to two points and prevent the Monarchs from scoring again, but didn't have enough time left on the clock to gain a lead.

The Scotties will play again tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. against NC Wesleyan before leaving town to face Shenandoah and Christopher Newport.
