The Agnes Scott Basketball team won their home opener tonight, 56-40, against Birmingham Southern.

The Scotties were led by seniors Genefine Sapateh, Arielle Register, and Tiffany Jones. Sapateh led the game with 18 points and three steals and went six-for-six from the free throw line.  Register added 14 points including three three-pointers. Jones Added 10 points for the Scotties including two from the three-point line.  Junior Morgan Cooper led the team in rebounds with seven.

The Scotties will return to action on Saturday at 2 p.m. against St. Andrews College.
