DECATUR, Ga. - Agnes Scott College enters the 2026 volleyball season with excitement and promise, as Head Coach
Arieon Trinity welcomes ten new Scotties to complement her experienced returning class of four. The team is excited for a challenging schedule, as they look to make an immediate impact on the Collegiate Conference of the South.
A season ago, the team struggled through an 0-19 ledger, with many players taking to a volleyball court for the first time. This season should look radically different, led by the experience of lone senior,
Madison Stidum, a former All-Conference selection in the 2024 season. Joining her from last year's team are junior outside hitters
Bryn Greenwood and
Sarah Fedrick, along with sophomore defensive specialist/setter,
Paige Ford. Between Ford and Stidum, they led the team in almost every statistical category, while Greenwood was sidelined with injuries for most of the season, and Fedrick worked her way into the starting lineup.
One of the key components in the new class of Scotties is the addition of two new setters, as well as two new liberos/defensive specialists.
Kayden Carmack and
Paityn Collins are expected to compete for setting duties, and
Kalia Bramblett and
Toni Thomas are the new defenders ready to fuel the serve-receive game for the Scotties. New hitters include
Arielle Ingram,
Sydney Pannell,
Ja'Rai Flynn,
Janae Erwing, and
Joi Harris. The depth of the bench will prove critical for the Scotties, as they look to qualify for the CCS Tournament.
The schedule includes two matches each against all six CCS schools, as well as home-and-away contests with Paine College, Johnson and Wales, and Clark Atlanta. Other opponents include Edward Waters, Regent, and traveling to Hollins University for their Halloween tournament, where they will face off with the hosts and Warren Wilson.
The Scotties' season begins on the road with a September 5 tilt against Johnson and Wales in Charlotte, N.C. The home schedule gets underway with one of the best teams in the CCS, Asbury University, on Friday, September 18 at 6:00 PM. The Eagles are the defending regular season and tournament champions.
