Reese Lands Rookie of the Week Honor

Freshman Led Scotties to Win Over Oglethorpe

ATLANTA, Ga. (March 10, 2026) Katherine Nova (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women's Tennis Player of the Week, while Kennadi Reese (Agnes Scott) earned this week's Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
The duo Kaleigh Stallworth and Caroline Morrison (Piedmont) were named Women's Doubles Team of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Katherine Nova, Asbury

Katherine Nova turned in a flawless week at the top of Asbury's lineup, posting a perfect record in both singles and doubles play to help lead the Eagles to conference victories over Huntingdon and LaGrange. Competing at the No. 1 singles position, Nova earned a pair of dominant straight-set victories, defeating Huntingdon's top player 6–0, 6–0 before following with a 6–0, 6–1 win against LaGrange. She also contributed in doubles action, teaming with Alexandra Garcia at the No. 1 spot to secure matching 6–1 victories against both opponents.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Kennadi Reese, Agnes Scott

Kennadi Reese played a pivotal role in Agnes Scott's 4–3 victory over Oglethorpe, helping secure the Scotties' first win over the Stormy Petrels in 11 years. The freshman delivered wins at both the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions to help guide the team to the milestone victory. In doubles play, Reese teamed with Katherine Cox for a 6–4 win over Oglethorpe's Glover and Gorgoll. She followed with a dominant performance in singles, dropping just one game in a 6–0, 6–1 victory.
 
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Kaleigh Stallworth/Caroline Morrison, Piedmont
Freshman/Sophomore | Baton Rouge, La./ Melbourne, Fla.
 
Kaleigh Stallworth and Caroline Morrison delivered a perfect week at the No. 2 doubles position, posting a 2–0 record against strong competition. The Piedmont duo opened with a 6–4 win over Cornell College's Graves and Dox before following with a commanding 6–0 victory against Transylvania's Held and Williams.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
