DECATUR, Ga.--Agnes Scott closed out its opening weekend schedule with a 9-0 loss to visiting Pfeiffer University on Sunday afternoon at Byers Tennis Courts.

Junior Rosie Hagel nearly came up with two points for the Scotties, but fell just short in both singles and doubles action. Hagel teamed up with Fabiola Garcia for an 8-5 loss at the third flight. The Agnes Scott junior was even closer in singles play, taking the first set from Emily Moore before Moore fought back with the 6-4 equalizer in the second set. Moore just outlasted Hagel in the third-set tiebreaker, 16-14, to clinch the sweep for the Falcons. 

Pfeiffer improves to 3-0 on the season while Agnes Scott drops to 0-2. The Scotties are back in action on Saturday, February 25 at Oglethorpe University.
