Box Score DECATUR, Ga. - Agnes Scott College could not contain LaGrange College in a 4-1 loss at Gellerstedt Field this afternoon.
During the seventh minute, the Panthers of LaGrange College stole the ball, and then buried a shot from 25 yards out into the left side of the net, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
The Panthers secured some breathing room as LC's added another goal to take a 2-0 lead at the Half. LaGrange College's Dailey added another goal at the 13:01 mark into the second half put LaGrange ahead, 3-0. The Panthers added its final goal of the contest in the 66th minute. ASC's Lexi McClendon put the Scotties on the board with 10:36 left in regulation securing a goal.
Junior goalkeeper Ashley Kopczyk was key for the Scotties playing all 90:00 minutes making 11 saves and only allowing four goals. LaGrange led the shots category, 21-14, and the corner kicks statistic, 6-2.
The Scotties will return to action on Saturday, October 2nd as they travel to Maryville, Tennessee for a USA South matchup against the Scots of Maryville College. Kickoff is slated for 2 pm.
