Box Score DEMOREST, Ga.—Piedmont College protected its home turf, beating Agnes Scott College 9-0 under the lights on Friday evening. The Lions improve to 5-1 in conference play while the Scotties drop to 0-4 overall entering the back half of their schedule.
Sophomore keeper Ashley Kopczyk (Elgin, Ill.) was kept busy for must of the night, as Piedmont racked up 52 shots and 21 corners in the contest. Despite the bombardment, Kopczyk was able to stop 11 shots.
Nine different players scored a goal for Piedmont in the big win.
Agnes Scott will look to rebound on Tuesday when they head down to LaGrange College for a twilight 5 p.m. start. The Scotties will return to Gellerstedt Field next Sunday when they host Berea College.
