Box Score DECATUR, Ga. - Agnes Scott College was held scoreless for the second game in a row, as Covenant College rode two first-half goals to a 2-0 victory on the road to maintain first place in the USA South's West Division. Covenant (8-2-0, 6-1-0 USA South) scored in the 21st and 44th minutes, to take their lead into halftime, limiting the Scotties to only 3 shots in the first half.
In the second half of play, the Scotties came alive offensively, launching 10 shots, 5 of which were on target, but Covenant's Rachel Lemay picked up her 7th win of the season, saving all six shots on goal for the Scotties (4-5-1, 2-4-1 USA South).
Iara Moran had five saves for the Scotties, and Ashlyn Edwards took four of the Scotties' 13 shots, 2 of which were on target.
The Scotties look to regroup as they enter the second half of conference play. At the midpoint in the conference season, the Scotties sit in a tie for 5th place with Huntingdon College. They begin the second half of USA South Conference play with a home match against Salem College on October 8 at 2:00 p.m.
