Box Score DECATUR, Ga. - Agnes Scott College's soccer team was handed their second-straight defeat, falling to Sewanee by a count of 5-1 at home. The Scotties and Tigers (1-3-1) were knotted at 1-1 until the 29th minute, when Sewanee would go ahead for good on a goal by Baker Walls.
For the Scotties (3-4-0), who were outshot 30-7 on the day, senior Stephanie Hicks was the lone scorer for the team, driving a goal home in the 26th minute to bring the game even at 1-1. Scottie goalkeeper Sydney Holstad was busy on the day, facing 18 shots on goal. She saved 12 shots on the day for the home team, which brings her season average to more than 7 saves per game.
The Scotties will return to the road on Wednesday, September 23, when they travel to face Birmingham Southern for a 5:00 CST contest.
