Box Score DECATUR, Ga. - In a game that saw numerous opportunities go by the wayside for the Agnes Scott Scotties (8-9, 2-2 Great South Athletic Conference), the home team still managed enough offense to down the Wesleyan Wolves, 3-2, to celebrate the final regular season contest for their five seniors.
Wesleyan started the scoring off early, as a free kick made it over the head of Scottie goalkeeper Hannah Pasch, giving the Wolves (3-9-1, 0-4 GSAC) their only lead of the contest. Ashlyn Edwards, who has been one of the hottest players for the Scotties as of late, evened things up at 1-1, driving a goal home off of an Emily Duncan corner kick in the 23rd minute. Eleven minutes later, Sarah Fisher would score from long range, putting the Scotties in the lead for good.
In the second half, Zoey Perchaluk would score quickly, in what would prove to be the game-wnning goal, driving down the field and scoring just one minute into the second half. Wesleyan would get one more back in the 62nd minute, but it would not be enough to defeat the Scotties.
For the game, Agnes Scott outshot Wesleyan, 26-6. The game marked the final regular season contest for Hallie Bates, Stephanie Hicks, Ciara Micacchione, Courtney Moite, and Camile Hernandez. Agnes Scott will await their seed for the GSAC Conference Tournament, which will begin on Friday, November 6, on the Agnes Scott campus.
