Box Score The Agnes Scott soccer team closed out their regular season and conference play with a 2-1 win over Wesleyan College.
Junior Maddie Shaul scored first for the Scotties with an assist from Helene Somda 36 minutes into the first half. Wesleyan's Taylor Poole tied the game with a goal early in the second half. Shaul scored the game winner late in the second half on a breakaway run.
Overall, Agnes Scott led 11-6 on shots on goal with contributions from Camila Hernandez, Courtney Moite, Stephanie Hicks and Somda. Sophomore Sydney Holstad played 90 minutes in goal and recorded five saves.
"We're happy with the win after facing some adversity and a very spirited Wesleyan team. It's clear that we need to get back to work to prepare for the upcoming conference tournament" remarked head coach Rosie Davis.
The Scotties will return to action November 8-10 at the Conference Tournament in North Carolina.
