The Agnes Scott College soccer team fell to LaGrange College at home this afternoon 2-1.

Strong defense from the Scotties kept the score tied at 0-0 through the first half of the game.  In the second half, LaGrange scored five minutes in. Eight minutes later Agnes Scott's Emily Kirk scored her first goal of the season with an assist from Maddie Shaul. LaGrange scored the game-winning-goal in the 80th minute ending the game 2-1.

LaGrange outshot Agnes Scott 13 to 10. Agnes Scott goalkeeper Sydney Holstad played 90 minutes and recorded five saves.

The Scotties will return to action on Saturday at home as they face conference foe Salem College at 1 p.m. eastern time.
