The ASC tennis team defeated The Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe University on Thursday, 8-1. The Petrels one win came in the number one singles position as Caffrey Francis defeated Mariel Herrera 7-6 (6), 3-6, and 1-0 (11-9) in a grueling match that ended with a double fault from Herrera.

Emma O'Reilly claimed victory in the number two spot. Hannah Kraus, Danielle Patton, Natalie Mayer and Alexis Mastmeier claimed victories respectively in the three through six singles matches.

Partnering up in the doubles matches, O'Reilly and Herrera won 8-1. Kraus and Patton won 8-5 and at number three doubles, Mayer and Mastmeier won 8-6.

The Scotties will play their first home match Saturday March 10 at 10 a.m. versus Case Western and at 4 p.m. versus Principia.
