The Agnes Scott soccer team lost to Centre College this afternoon 2-0 in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Danville, Ky.  This was the soccer team's first appearance in the national tournament.

Agnes Scott went into the game with nine wins, nine losses and two ties while Centre College went in with 20 wins and only one loss. Facing tough odds, Agnes Scott battled hard but couldn't get through Centre's defense.  Centre's Mary Taylor Kersey scored both goals for the Colonels. 

The loss brings Agnes Scott's season to an end while Centre will go on to the NCAA second round against the winner of tonight's game between Depauw and Emory.
