Grant Rejects 200th Career Shot in Loss to Piedmont

Women's Basketball

DECATUR, Ga.—A fast start was just what Piedmont women’s basketball needed to hand Agnes Scott College a 73-35 defeat on Friday evening at the Woodruff Gymnasium. Senior Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) surpassed 200 blocks for a career in the first quarter and junior Musumaulai Galoia (Hephzebah, Ga.) collected a career-high 12 rebounds to highlight the Scottie effort.

Agnes Scott senior Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) notched season highs in points (22) and field goal percentage (56%), but the Scotties were unable to overcome a tough start to the game.

Panthers Rush Past Scotties with Late Burst

Women's Basketball

LAGRANGE, Ga.—A season-high 12 points from sophomore Shay Sweat (Lawrenceville, Ga.) was not enough to overcome a strong second half from host LaGrange as Agnes Scott women’s basketball fell 67-46 on Saturday, January 11. The Scotties led by a point at halftime, but LaGrange outscored the Scotties by 19 in the third period to take command of the game.

Thank you for your interest in Agnes Scott College and our basketball program. Agnes Scott is one of the TOP Liberal art schools in the country. We are an incredibly diverse community located in metro Atlanta dedicated to educating women on a global scale. We actively recruit student-athletes who commit themselves to get better every day, both on the court and in the classroom.

That is who we are, and I am excited to tell you more about us. But I am also very interested in learning more about you and what you are looking for in a college experience. So there are two things I want you to do:

First, fill out the recruiting questionnaire above.

Second, give me a call, text or email when you can. I would love to hear from you personally, and I would really appreciate the chance to talk with you and answer any questions you may have about our school or program!

Finally, I want to wish you luck as you begin looking into colleges and the next step of your basketball career. This is going to be a really fun experience and I hope you enjoy it.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Coach Biggs
