DEMOREST, Ga. - On Tuesday evening, Agnes Scott faced off with Piedmont for a road contest, falling, 72-50. The Lions (4-8, 1-2 Collegiate Conference of the South) are the defending champions as well as the preseason favorite for the CCS crown this season. The Scotties (1-11, 0-4 CCS) are still searching for their first conference win of the season.
The first half was the difference-maker in the contest, as were turnovers. The Lions built a 45-23 halftime lead behind a balanced scoring attack, and a pesky defense which led to 41 turnovers in the contest for the Scotties.

Kaycie Hyde, who led in scoring with 14 points. Hyde also pitched in with team-highs in rebounds (8) and assists (3).
Anissa Brailsford and
