MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Agnes Scott College basketball program enters Collegiate Conference of the South play this weekend as they travel to CCS rival, Huntingdon (3-6, 0-0 CCS) for a 2:00 p.m. contest. The Scotties (1-6, 0-0 CCS) will be looking to end a 12-year streak against the Hawks, with their last win against Huntingdon coming on February 5, 2013.
Coming in to the contest, the Scotties have been led by sophomore forward,
Anissa Brailsford, who is averaging 12.0 points per game through the first seven contests. She also sits second in the CCS with 7.9 rebounds per game. Freshman standout
Kaycie Hyde has also bee instrumental for the Scotties this season, contributing a team-leading 25 assists (3.6 apg, 2nd in the CCS), while also averaging 6.6 points per game. The Scotties have been without two of the regular starters
Huntingdon and Agnes Scott share several opponents on the season. Both teams have suffered defeats to Emory, Berry, and Oglethorpe, while each team picked up a win over Warren Wilson. The Hawks are led by Makayla Ford, who is third in the CCS with a 16.8 scoring average. Charity Shaw also regularly contributes for the Hawks, averaging 8.4 ppg and 6.0 rpg.
