PENSACOLA, Fla. - Agnes Scott hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to Pensacola Christian College to face off with the hosts, as well as Trinity Baptist College. The Scotties walked away with their first win of the young season, a 3-1 win over Trinity Baptist, finishing off an exciting 4th set to take down the Eagles, 25-22, 22-25, 25-13, 28-26. The Scotties (1-3) fell in the opener on Saturday, 3-0, to Pensacola Christian (6-4).
Madison Stidum was on fire against the Eagles (0-8) and led the Scotties to the victory. She finished the match with 32 kills, 11Â digs, and 2 total blocks (1 solo and 2 block assists). Also registering a double-double on the day for the Scotties was First-Year middle hitter
Feliz Pearson, who tallied 11 kills and 13 digs.
Me'Kyah Booker was a force from behind the baseline, serving a season-high 6 aces, and leading the defense with 18 digs. Setter
Alofamoni Galoia ran the offense the whole way around the rotation, dishing out a career-high 40 assists and also contributing 11 digs of her own. Libero
Jahneya Reynolds also contributed 15 digs to the defensive effort.
The Scotties will return to action on Tuesday, as they make the short trip across town to take on Clark Atlanta University. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
