Bryn Greenwood pitched a complete-game shutout. Greenwood allowed only 6 hits in the contest, striking out 3 along the way, en route to the 2-0 win. Kayla Ocanas suffered the complete-game loss for the Wolves, also striking out 3 and scattering 8 hits in the contest.Â
The Scotties got on the board early in the contest, as

Mercedes Barker, batting in the cleanup spot, did just that as she singled to drive Thorson home. Both teams would remain scoreless until the 4th inning, when Barker walked to open the inning, and
Kenzie Beaudoin continued her offensive surge as of late when she singled to move Barker to second base.
Kristen Gilbert would deliver a two-out single later in the inning, loading the bases.
Megan Smith battled through a lengthy at-bat before finally drawing the walk from Ocanas to score Barker for the final run of the game.
At the plate, Beaudoin was the lone Scottie to register multiple hits in Game 1, going 2-for-3 at the plate. It is the second consecutive game with multiple hits, after an incredible 5-for-5 day last week against Berea.
