DECATUR, Ga. – Agnes Scott Soccer team saw its losing streak stretch to four matches following a 6-0 loss the Piedmont University. Piedmont piled on two goals in the second half after building a 4-0 halftime advantage while holding Agnes Scott to two shot attempts in a dominant effort. The Scotties fall to 1-6 on the season.
The Lions controlled momentum from beginning to end, scoring just 11 minutes into regulation. Things did not get any better for the Scotties over the final 45 minutes as back to back goals in the final minutes of action to make it a 6-0 game.
Piedmont was able to smother Agnes Scott's offensive attack on the other end of the field.
Ashley Kopczyk (Elgin, Ill.) took the loss despite making 13 saves in goal.
Agnes Scott will look to break out of a funk on Tuesday when they head to LaGrange College for a morning matchup on Saturday, October 1
