HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Shepherd University women's tennis team topped the Agnes Scott College Scotties 7-0 to open the PTR Spring Tennis Fest on Monday. 
 
Shepherd's Isabella Mascaril and Ally Frushour defeated Agnes Scott's #1 doubles tandem of Brandy Nalyanya and Gor'Nese Turner 8-1. In #2 doubles play, ASC's Katiuska Toral Castillo and Leilah Lewinson dropped an 8-1 decision to Morgan Burner and Johnna Smith.
 
Nalyanya lost her #1 singles match to Macari by scores of 6-2 and 6-3. Shepherd claimed 6-0, 6-0 victories at #3, #4 and #5 singles and Agnes Scott's Gor'Nese Turner fell 6-3, 6-2 at #2 singles to Ally Frushour.
 
The Scotties will return to the court on Tuesday, March 15th, facing St. Mary's College of Maryland.  Match time at Evian Tennis Center is 3:30 pm.
