DECATUR, Ga. – In their 2022 first home game of the year at Woodruff Gymnasium, the visiting Lions of Piedmont University handed the Scotties of Agnes Scott a 74-35 defeat. First year
Sydney Evans led the Scotties with her first double-double performance of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
YaMea Elliot-Allen turned in a solid game with 10 points and three rebounds.
The Lions went into intermission with a 41-19 advantage, then put the clamps on the Scotties holding them to only six points in the third quarter. Piedmont was able to secure 15 points in the third quarter. The Lions then secured 18 points in the fourth quarter to cruise to a 74-35 victory.
For the game ASC shot 22.6% from the field (12-53), 8.3% from three-point range (1-12) and 71.4% from the charity stripe (10-14). The Scotties was able to secure 15 second chance points. The Purple and Black finished with six points in the paint.
