DEMOREST, Ga. - Agnes Scott volleyball saw improved results across the board despite a 3-0 loss to Piedmont on Wednesday night. The Lions ultimately took the match 25-16, 25-18, 25-18 to improve to 5-16 on the season, while Agnes Scott dipped to 1-21.
In the opening set, Agnes Scott dropped the 25-16 decision as the Scotties tallied four kills.
The second set was just as close as Alex Roquemore and Daisy Hooper led the Scotties with two kills each. Jada Bryant and Taylor chipped in on the attack as Agnes Scott fell 25-21.
Set three was a close early, with Piedmont owning a 10-6 lead. The Scotties continued to battle but the Lions were able to close out the set at 25-18, and the match.
Roquemore, Bryant and Hooper paced the Scotties offense with six kills, while Alecia Holmes-Terry and Daisy Hooper added 12 digs. First-year Taylor Carnley added a game best of 12 assists for Agnes Scott.
