Box Score BEREA, Ky.—For the second time in four days, sophomore Emma Olson (Austin, Texas) cracked the 20-point plateau but divisional leading Berea was too much for the Scotties in an 84-48 loss. Olson had an incredible night offensively with 20 points on 50-percent shooting from the floor. Berea was led by a three-headed attack of Briana Lanham, Destiny Combs, and Aaliyah Hampton.
Berea remained unbeaten in USA South Conference play at 10-0 while winning their 12th consecutive game to improve to 17-2 overall. Agnes Scott is now 0-19.
Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) was off her pace in rebounds and points but still finished with solid splits of nine points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.
Berea was electric on offense from the start, outscoring the Scotties 33-12 in the first period to take firm control. The Mountaineers were able to take advantage of a 22-6 offensive rebounding advantage to create extra opportunities.
Agnes Scott had an 18-14 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter.
The Scotties head to Piedmont on Tuesday evening for a 6 p.m. start. The Lions beat the Scotties 73-35 just a week ago in Decatur.
