Box Score DEMOREST, Ga.—Agnes Scott Volleyball fell in three sets to Piedmont in USA South Conference action on Tuesday evening. The Lions looked in control from the very start with a 25-10 opening set before staving off the Scotties 25-19 and 25-15 in the final two.
The Scotties saw their record in conference play dip to 1-7, while their overall mark went to 7-16 Piedmont stays with the pace atop the West Division standings by going to 6-3 in the conference and 12-9 overall.
Paige Heck (Indianapolis, Ind.) was the top offensive player for the Scotties with nine points on eight kills, marking the first time in over a month the Scotties were without a double-digit scorer. Bella Kammerer (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) dug up 12 balls on the backline.
The Scotties have a busy weekend ahead of them as they host a tri-match with Huntingdon and Covenant on Saturday before heading to Rome for a tri-match with Sewanee and Berry on Sunday afternoon.
Agnes Scott will honor its five seniors before the match with Covenant on Saturday at approximately 4 p.m.
