The Agnes Scott volleyball team traveled to Covenant College for a tri-match with Emory and Henry. The Scotties lost 3-0 to Emory and Henry early in the day followed by a 3-0 loss to Covenant.

Agnes Scott started the morning with a loss to Emory and Henry in straight sets, 18-25, 17-25 and 12-25. Senior Lauren Aikens led with eight kills (.150) sophomore Kayleigh McCrary added six kills.  Junior Shakirah Dodson totaled 12 assists and 10 digs with another six digs coming from senior Shelli Sherman.

Later in the afternoon, Agnes Scott faced Covenant and lost 15-25, 21-25 and 15-25. Covenant's record improved to 9-3 with wins over Agnes Scott and Emory and Henry while Agnes Scott's record fell to 3-7.

Covenant led with 47 kills to Agnes Scott's 22. Aikens once again led the Scotties with nine kills (.304) and three blocks. Sherman led with 20 digs and Dodson led with 17 assists.

Agnes Scott will return to action on Wednesday September 17 as they travel to Piedmont College for a 7 p.m. match.
