ATLANTA, Ga. – The Great South Athletic Conference announced the fall sports Players of the Week for all contests played through September 7 and, following voting by the league sports information directors, Shelli Sherman of Agnes Scott captured Volleyball Player of the Week.

Agnes Scott split the weekend at the Greensboro Invitational with two wins and two losses. Sherman, a senior Libero,  was instrumental in the two wins over Guilford and Hollins on Sunday. She recorded 95 digs in all four games over the weekend, and was named to the Greensboro All Tournament team. 38 digs in the match against Hollins put Shelli over the 1,000 mark. She now has 1,036 career digs.

The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
