MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Agnes Scott College volleyball team dropped a tough road match today against an inspired Huntingdon College squad, who avenged an earlier 3-0 shutout at Agnes Scott by downing the Scotties (25-19, 25-18, 17-25, 25-18).

The Scotties (6-12) were led offensively by Lauren Aikens, who registered 14 kills and 6 solo blocks.  Also contributing to the effort offensively Lexus Travis and Bonnie Derks with 6 kills apiece, and first year Anastasia Bennett, who registered a season-high 6 kills with a .312 hitting percentage to lead the team.  Kalen Morgan led the Hawks (5-18) with 8 kills and 6 solo blocks.

Defensively, the Scotties were led by Shelli Sherman with 19 digs, and Shakirah Dodson with 13.

The Scotties will have one day off before returning to the court with a road match at Gulf Coast State College (FL) on Saturday, October 18.
