Box Score The Agnes Scott College basketball team lost to Berry College last night 49-51.
The score remained close throughout the first half with Berry up by one at half-time. The Vikings put a stop to Agnes Scott's scoring early in the second half but the Scotties came back to within one point of the Vikings in the last minute. A foul shot gave Berry the final point to win by a margin of two points.
Berry topped Agnes Scott in rebounds 38-36 and outshot the Scotties 37% (19-51) to 34% (21-61).
Agnes Scott senior Genefine Sapateh had game highs of 16 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals. Senior Arielle Register added 12 points as the Scotties second leading scorer.
The Scotties will return to action this Saturday at home as they face Judson College at 4 p.m.
