Lauren “Coach Cocoa” Falohun enters her 17th year in coaching and her first season as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Agnes Scott College. A former student-athlete at University of South Carolina, Falohun brings experience from the middle school, high school, and collegiate ranks, including NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA programs. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of leadership roles, including head coach, assistant coach, and strength and conditioning coach. Her student-athletes have earned multiple Conference Player of the Week honors, All-Conference selections, and Academic All-Conference recognition, including eight Academic All-Conference honorees during her tenure as a collegiate head coach.
Prior to being named Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Falohun served at Agnes Scott College as the Interim Head Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field, leading the institution’s inaugural programs. Under her leadership, student-athletes achieved numerous personal records and established a strong foundation for future success. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, accountability, resilience, and daily growth while fostering meaningful relationships that help student-athletes reach their full potential.
Known for her energy, passion, and commitment to excellence, Falohun is dedicated to building a championship-caliber culture that empowers student-athletes to excel academically, athletically, and personally. She believes in developing confident leaders who are prepared to make an impact long after their playing careers have ended while creating an environment where hard work, connection, growth, and belief drive success.
