Carolyn Cornelison “Dr. CC” brings a wealth of experience to the Recreation and Intramural Program position having worked and taught at six different higher education institutions. Dr. CC earned her BS in Recreation from Georgia State University, her MS in Recreation from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Ph.D. in Physical Education from Florida State University.
Dr. CC started as a physical education instructor at ASC teaching Personal Health & Fitness in 2014. In 2015, she was hired full-time to create the Recreation and Intramural Program.
Before joining Agnes Scott College, CC had been traveling the country as an “Edu-tainer”, speaking at over 1000 campuses in 48 states about collegiate alcohol abuse prevention and wellness topics. She is passionate about students having safe, responsible enjoyable co-curricular experiences.
CC works to bring the best possible recreational programs to the ASC student body. As a “Doctor of Leisure” CC is passionate about helping students find the right balance of play and fitness that will provide exercise, stress reduction and just plain “fun” to their lives.
For her own recreation, she plays golf, USTA & ALTA tennis, pickleball and square dances.
