Coach Uchimura Grew up in Conyers, Georgia and played Select Soccer at Rockdale Youth Soccer Association and began playing as a Goalkeeper. At Salem High School, he played 3 years on the Varsity Team, captaining the team Senior Year.
He attended Georgia State University and received his Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master's Degree in Social Studies Education. While at GSU, he spent several seasons on the Georgia State Men's Club Soccer Team as Goalkeeper.
Spent 2017-2018 School Year Student-Teaching at Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain where he was the Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach. Spent Spring of 2018 as the Georgia State Women's Club Soccer Team as Assistant Coach. Currently Teaches Social Studies at Druid Hills High School in DeKalb County where he has been since 2018 and is the Girls' Varsity Head Soccer Coach since 2018, where he has led them to the state tournament in each season he has coached. Druid Hills achieved their first playoff win in 2025 under Coach Uchimura, making the second round. He was named DeKalb County Girls' Soccer Coach and GHSA's Region 5's 4-AAAA Coach of the year in 2025.
