ATLANTA, Ga. - Agnes Scott held close with Oglethorpe (3-2) through most of the first half, before an 18-0 run that spanned the end of the 2nd quarter and beginning of the 3rd quarter doomed the Scotties' chances. Oglethorpe would go on to win the contest, 88-63. The Scotties (0-4) continued to show improvement this season in the loss, having dropped an 84-49 loss to the Stormy Petrels a season ago.
In the first quarter, little separated the two teams, as the Stormy Petrels only held an 18-17 edge after 10 minutes of play. The second quarter remained tight, as the Scotties trailed, 32-27, before the home team went on a 15-0 run to end the half and help put the game at a distance for the Scotties, entering the half with a 47-27 lead. The Scotties would keep the next two quarters close, as the second half went in favor of Oglethorpe by a narrow margin (41-36).
